Corporate Social Responsibility in China

It is understood today that to be a responsible company, a company needs to care about its environment and be involved in the welfare of its surrounding community.

Here in China, it can be challenging to find a partner in the "non-for-profit world". Bethel would like to help either by being your partner, or introducing other projects we have the pleasure to know.

Why should you partner with Bethel?

1. We are unique:
   The only dedicated facility for visually impaired orphans.

2. We respect the environment:
   With our farm, gardens, solar panels, bio-mass boiler, well and near-organic products we are partly self-sustainable.

3. We can involve your employees:
   Being in Beijing (1 h South West), it is easy to organize a day trip where your staff can get their hands dirty and see first hand what values your company uphold by helping poor disabled children.

4. You get what you expect:
   • By sponsoring Bethel you will get exposure in our website and newsletter, which goes out to 23 countries.
   • You will also be able to use pictures for your year end CSR reports.
   • You will get on going reports of the project.
   • You get a tax-deductible receipt.

What you can sponsor

On top of involving your employees in a worthy cause and developing a sustainable relationship with Bethel to impact China for the better, we also propose some more practical ways of helping by giving you an opportunity to be involved in one of these projects.

• A children's house which will be the home of 10 blind orphans (5 out of 7 are sponsored already)

  

• Help with the lease of our exisiting property to garantee our sustainability for many years

  

Corporate Social Responsibility is a means by which an organization can positively affect Bethel, their own organization, and the local community, all at the same time.

The Employee Enrichment Program gives organization employees the chance to impact Bethel’s physical aspects, by taking part in activities such as harvesting corn or planting grass, etc.

Organizations have taken part in our Career Outing Program, which consists of taking our older students to a professional environment in order to broaden their horizons and help them gain new perspectives. Bethel’s main goal is for our students to become “employable”.

On top of the Corporate Social Responsibility Programs, a more traditional Financial Sponsoring Program is available for ventures such as sponsoring the children’s housing, the Braille teacher’s salaries, etc.
