Charles was born in September 2007. Charles is learning self-help skills such as dressing himself and walking up stairs in Bethel’s Zhengzhou classroom. He initially cried when first learning these skills, but he has since settled into his new routine and looks forward to practicing every day!
Charles used to struggle socially and didn’t like being hugged or touched by his nannies, but recently has started looking to them for comfort! We are so excited about this demonstration of trust and love! Charles is learning to recognize facial features and likes to trace them with his fingertips. Charles especially enjoys bouncing balls, especially the large ones!
Bethel firmly believes love is the heart of a family, which is why we continue to carry out our mission based on trust in a family unit. While Bethel itself is not an adoption agency, we are committed in advocating for the adoption of all our children in the hopes that their families find them sooner.
More than 150 Bethel children have been adopted into loving homes throughout Bethel’s 15-year history.
