Shirley is a beautiful little girl who was born in August 2007! She was one of the first children to arrive at Bethel’s Zhengzhou project. She was in preschool for 18 months before she came into Bethel’s full-time care. When she first arrived at age 4, she was very weak. She couldn’t sit up or eat any solid food. Though being completely blind, she has fought hard and she has made some absolutely amazing progress.
She adores being told she is beautiful and having her hair brushed. She has strong cane skills and fine motor skills. We are so impressed with her growth and development!
Bethel firmly believes love is the heart of a family, which is why we continue to carry out our mission based on trust in a family unit. While Bethel itself is not an adoption agency, we are committed in advocating for the adoption of all our children in the hopes that their families find them sooner.
More than 150 Bethel children have been adopted into loving homes throughout Bethel’s 15-year history.
